Mbare Musika Rebuild
When the historic Mbare Musika market was destroyed by fire, it marked not only the loss of a physical space but also the disruption of countless livelihoods. Our team was part of the effort to document the rebuilding of the market and to tell the stories of the vendors who make Mbare a cornerstone of community and commerce.
We began with market research and planning, taking time to listen to the vendors and understand their challenges, hopes, and expectations for the new hub. This human-centered approach shaped the narrative we developed, ensuring the documentary highlighted both the progress of the rebuild and the resilience of the people driving it.
Through a mix of on-the-ground storytelling, visual documentation, and interviews, we crafted a narrative that not only showcased the physical transformation of the market but also celebrated the determination of its community. The project demonstrated our ability to combine research, creative direction, and storytelling to create a campaign that captures both infrastructure development and human impact.
